About the artist: Autumn de Forest is a 13 year old artist whose artwork sells for tens of thousands of dollars. Her talent comes from her inheritance, as there have been many artists in her family. She uses the money she earns to support charities and the like and her way with speech has earned the attention of many people.
About the art: In going to a meeting with a group of her collectors in Scottsdale, AZ, Autumn de Forest wanted to make a special piece. So she created Desert Bloom.

Why it was chosen: Autumn de Forest has been doing art since she was 5 year old. The fact that she can work so hard and do so well at such a young age is an inspiration for all young artists. Little children are often more awed by the art of someone their own age than by the art of a grown-up.
